The role - Te mahi
The University is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Professional Practice Fellows in Dentistry.
As a Senior Professional Practice Fellow, you will help support teaching, facilitate learning, assist with assessments, and carry out clinical service/clinical activity both on undergraduate clinics and staff clinics out of term time.
Some key tasks of the role include:
Clinical teaching/tutoring of undergraduate dentists.
Contributing to the Department’s academic goals by applying expert clinical knowledge in your area of specialty.
Preparation, assessment, teaching, and paper administration duties.
Following through patient care and referrals within the hospital.

Successful applicants:
Must hold a dental degree and have registration or be eligible for full registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand.
Will demonstrate the ability to work well with students and staff from differing academic and cultural backgrounds and at all levels within the institution.
Show a commitment to uphold the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the University’s Māori Strategic Framework.
Candidates will also have and maintain registration (if supervised), including:
A practicing certificate in place before starting work.
Indemnity in place prior to starting work.

We have eight job openings, offering both permanent and fixed-term positions, located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
We have opportunities for Dentists with special interests in Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Periodontics.
Both full-time (1 FTE) and part-time positions are available, allowing for employment over the full year or semester time only. The duration of any fixed-term positions can be negotiable with the successful candidates. International candidates would need to be available to work minimum 0.8 FTE.
The salary range for these positions is $109,554 to $184,993 per annum (pro rata). Candidates will be appointed to a step on the Senior Professional Practice Fellow scale 3 or 4, dependent on qualifications and skills.

About the role
On both the Specialist Mental Health Services' permanent and casual pools, we have need for a casual Enrolled Nurses with mental health experience. About You
This position requires a background in mental health, working as an Enrolled Nurse and the ability to work both autonomously, and alongside the multidisciplinary teams you will be working with. The opportunity to cover in a variety of different settings across Specialist Mental Health Services, means:
- We are looking for Nurse’s with excellent communication and time management skills who can work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team.

- Confident and resilient;
- Strong focus on relationship-building;
- Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi.

About the Role
As an Interventional Cardiology Fellow, you will be part of a high-volume service delivering over 1000 PCIs annually, including 24/7 STEMI coverage and a thriving structural heart disease programme. You’ll gain hands-on experience in PCI including complex PCI including LM stenting, bifurcations, atherectomy and CTO. You will also be exposed to advanced intracoronary imaging (OCT/IVUS) techniques and physiology (FFR/CFR/IMR/iFR).
This is a rare opportunity to work alongside experienced Consultants in an accredited advanced training department, further developing your expertise in a collaborative and innovative environment. You will also participate in the after-hours roster covering cardiology admissions and inpatients.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our Interventional Cardiology team is based at Christchurch Hospital, the major tertiary referral centre for the South Island. With 7 Interventional Cardiologists and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, we provide high-quality cardiac services to a population of nearly 700,000. About You
As a successful candidate for this role, you will:
- Have completed advanced training in Cardiology (FRACP, MRCP (UK) or equivalent).
- Have at least two years of Specialist Training in Cardiology.

Purchase Orders and receipting
- Raise accurate purchase orders with the correct coding, pricing and product information.

- Use i-Procurement and FPIM systems for inventory and expense purchasing.

- Identify and resolve problems relating to pricing, units of measure, product codes and other purchase order discrepancies.
- Work closely with Procurement to share information that supports effective supplier relationships, pricing and contract management.
FPIM and inventory maintenance
- Maintain purchasing sub-inventories in partnership with clinical staff.
- Manage units of measure and update inventory information as required.
- Add, remove and update items within sub-inventories.
- Assist with appropriate minimum and maximum stock level management.
- Ensure purchasing and inventory information remains accurate and up to date.
Stock management
- Manage stock within sub-inventories in accordance with purchasing and financial processes.
- Process FPIM transactions for consignment stock being returned to suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving lot- and serial-tracked stock.
- Ensure physical stock and inventory system records are accurately aligned.
About you

About the Role
We are seeking an organised, proactive and personable Nephrology Clinical Administrator to join the Nephrology Service at Christchurch Hospital on a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) basis.
This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the Nephrology service, combining booking administration with medical transcription duties. You will manage outpatient clinic bookings, coordinate referrals through to triage and action, support the smooth running of the Thursday Nephrology clinic and Tuesday Fellow clinic, and manage bookings for the Nephrology Clinic Rooms and Nephrology–Urology Seminar Room. You will also type dictated clinical correspondence from SMOs and Registrars, ensuring letters are turned around accurately and within agreed timeframes.

About the Role
If you have graduated as an Occupational Therapist within the last 12 months and are ready to take the exciting first steps in your career, we’d love to hear from you! We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive and experienced Occupational Therapy team at Christchurch Hospital in a full-time, permanent rotational position (40 hours per week).
You’ll be primarily based at Christchurch Hospital, as well as completing a 12-month rotation at Burwood Hospital (within your first 24-months), giving you even greater exposure to different clinical environments and patient needs. This is a rotational role offering plenty of variety and opportunities to grow and develop your practice.
At Christchurch Hospital, our Occupational Therapists work across a wide range of clinical areas, including:
Trauma and Orthopaedics, General Medicine and Surgery, Neurology and Acute Stroke, Respiratory and Cardiology, Paediatrics, ICU and Emergency Department, Burns and Plastics, Oncology, Hand Therapy, and Home Visit Teams.
These are predominantly ward-based positions, giving you the opportunity to develop practical clinical skills while working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams. Your rotations will be determined by your developing skills and experience, alongside the needs of our service.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Working to provide comprehensive inter-disciplinary and specific occupational therapy based assessments, patient centred goal setting, therapeutic interventions, and education to whānau and friends and IDT colleagues
- Working with patients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and working collaboratively with whānau, the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes
- Delegation of clinical tasks to Allied Health Assistants
- Identifying service needs and contributing towards quality improvement initiatives
- Being involved in patient-centred discharge planning
- As part of the team you will also contribute to the weekend roster on a regular basis
About You
You will have a passion and desire to work in acute care within a team environment, and want to grow and develop professionally as an occupational therapist.
You can expect to be well supported in your role. You will receive mentoring, supervision and professional development so that you can grow as an occupational therapist and progress in your career. This role is available immediately, so we are seeking someone to join us as soon as possible.
Your skills/ experience will include:
- Sound clinical assessment and problem solving skills
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, to develop positive interpersonal relationships, and work flexibly within the inter-disciplinary team, with a team player attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice
- Effective time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
- Experience with discharge planning
- The willingness to engage in quality improvement mahi
- A willingness to learn and to share your learning
- Registration with the NZ Occupational Therapy Board and current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Knowledge of te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth

As a Kitchen Assistant for our Nelson village you’ll be at the heart of our kitchen’s day-to-day operations.
