As Food Services Manager you play a vital role in the wellbeing of our residents by providing high-quality, safe, and appetising meals that meet our resident’s individual nutrition needs.
As part of our leadership team, you will also be responsible for the overall smooth and efficient running of the kitchen service including supply and budget requirements, team management (including roster coordination), compliance with our Food Control Plan, and collaboration with kitchen staff to deliver a first-class experience for our residents. The role requires excellent technical skills and food creativity and will be cooking alongise the kitchen staff. You will also be responsible for the management of the cafe menu and the team within the cafe.

- Relevant skills and Experience
- Current NZ Food Safety Certificate.
- At least 3 years’ experience as Head Cook, Chef, or Kitchen Manager within the aged care industry or a similar environment

About the Role
Ward AG is part of Older Persons Mental Health, based at Burwood Hospital. The team is on the lookout for an experienced nurse to work full-time 0.94FTE and must be available to work all shifts.
About You
In order to be successful in this role you will be a Registered Nurse with a Mental Health scope on your annual practicing certificate; Mental Health experience is desirable however due to the nature of care we provide our consumers we will happily consider candidates with general nursing experience who have a passion for caring for those living with a Mental Health condition.
This is a perfect transition role for someone who would like to work within Mental Health whilst maintaining your medical skills as a general nurse, along with complex pharmacology and having the opportunity to work within a dedicated and highly skilled multidisciplinary team.
Skills and experience
- 2 – 4 years’ experience as a registered nurse, ideally in Specialist Mental Health Services
- Hold registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with mental health scope and current APC
- Be a confident practitioner with good patient assessment skills
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide variety of people
- Experience working in Mental Health or have a passion to develop those skills

About the Role:
WellFoods is looking for motivated, reliable and punctual catering assistants to join our team.
Casual Positions:
- Must be flexible, shifts generally: 1600pm-1900pm or 0630am-1500pm
In this role you will be working as part of a large WellFood team, where you will be responsible for taking the meal and beverage orders directly from the patients, assembling meal trays and delivering these to the wards all whilst providing excellent customer service to our patients and their whānau.
To be successful in this role, you are required to have excellent customer service skills, be organised, get along with people and be adaptable to different situations. All training will be provided for candidates who do not have food handling experience.
Starting rate $27.80 per hour. Based on the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreement.

You will be leading a culture of purposeful engagement which promotes dignity and independence through the therapeutic recreation process. Through personalised recreation plans and engaging activities, you’ll help residents maintain independence, dignity, and connection with others.
Typical duties include:
- Planning and running individual and group activities that are purposeful and enjoyable
- Supporting residents to participate in the social life of the Care Centre and wider village
- Collaborating with other team members to extend activities across the village as appropriate
- Monitoring and reporting resident progress and maintaining accurate activity records
- Managing monthly activity programme budgets with approval from the Village Manager
This is a casual role, working on an as-needed basis, with shifts often offered at short notice. We are particularly seeking someone who can provide additional support during the December holiday period to help cover planned leave for our Nelson and Richmond villages.
You’ll be creative, compassionate, and highly organised – with a genuine interest in enhancing the lives of older people through social connection and therapeutic engagement.
You’ll bring with you:
- National Certificate in Diversional Therapy (Level 4) – or at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent planning and time management skills, with a proactive mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to complete a two-day course)
- A full, clean driver’s licence & ability to drive a Mobility Van.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Supporting Mental Health Act administration

This includes maintaining accurate filing, tracking and distribution of Mental Health Act documentation and supporting administrative processes relating to legal status, leave, transfers and hearings.
You will work closely with the clinical team and relevant services to ensure documentation is complete and requirements are followed, escalating any missing, incomplete or overdue information to the appropriate clinical staff.

The Moana clinic provides health services to the Moana and on occasion Haupiri communities, which amounts to less than 100 permanent residents. However, Moana is a popular holiday destination, and the town is often busy with visiting tourists. The geographical distance that the Moana Rural Nurse Specialist (RNS) covers is the largest of all the RNS teams on the West Coast, covering to Arthurs Pass and Still Water. Working as an RNS at the Moana Clinic, you will be the first ‘port of call’ in many cases for both the residents and tourists travelling through the area. You will provide clinic-based services during the day – mainly primary care, district nursing and ‘on-call’ services as per a roster.
The service provides a nurse-led clinic, with General Practitioner and Nurse Practitioner support. You will have patients across the life span and will be actively developing skills as new situations arise. This is a position for a senior RN who has a minimum of 5 years clinical experience, preferably with community and practice nursing and who has a good sense of autonomy and self-direction. Post graduate study is essential especially around adult and paediatric health assessment, and pharmacology. You will be supported to complete further post graduate study if required.
As an RNS you will use your assessment skills and experience to provide primary and emergency care, with the support from the wider team, a system of standing Orders, and PRIME training.

Our department has 4 Elekta linear accelerators, a Siemens 64 slice CT scanner and Monaco® treatment planning system. The department provides a gynaecological and prostate HDR brachytherapy service and uses Mosaiq as its patient management system.
We deliver a full spectrum of advanced techniques including VMAT, IMRT, SBRT, DIBH, and comprehensive IGRT modalities. Staff are encouraged to participate in a wide range of innovative projects and service development initiatives.
