Mō te tūranga | About the Role
We are looking for a versatile and motivated gardener with a desire to create and maintain the stunning gardens at our community. Your dedication to great customer service will shine through for our residents, who are at the heart of all we do. We garden using natural techniques and are looking for somebody with a true passion for gardening.
We pay market rates and provide a uniform, including quality wet weather gear, tools, and PPE. We provide training and we promote an educational path for our gardeners’ encouraging apprenticeships with Primary ITO.
This is a physically demanding job, and a high level of fitness is required.
Nga Tohu me nga wheako | Qualifications and Experience
Ideally, Level 3 Horticulture with a desire to continue with Level 4 although this is not essential as training will be provided for an enthusiastic applicant
- Demonstrated competence in a similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge of plants, growth patterns,
- Highly motivated, flexible, and able to take initiative
- Safe work practices
- NZ Drivers License and the ability to drive a small manual truck

As a Caregiver at our Summerset at Pohutukawa Place Village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.
Typical duties include:
- Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
- Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
- Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
- Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc
This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis

We are looking for an organised, approachable and customer-focused Ward Clerk to join our team and provide high-quality clerical, reception and administrative support within the ward environment.
As a Ward Clerk, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the ward. You will be a key point of contact for patients, whānau, visitors and members of the multidisciplinary team, helping to ensure information is accurate, communication is effective and administrative processes are completed efficiently.
This is a varied role where your organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities will be highly valued.
What you'll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the ward
- Welcoming and assisting patients, whānau and visitors and responding to enquiries professionally
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ward documentation
- Processing patient admissions, transfers, discharges and deaths
- Entering and maintaining patient and staffing information in electronic systems
- Processing correspondence and arranging appointments and other administrative requirements
- Supporting effective communication between patients, whānau and the multidisciplinary team
- Completing data entry, reports and other administrative tasks accurately and within required timeframes
- Maintaining confidentiality and the security of patient information
- Identifying and following up missing or incomplete documentation
- Reporting hazards, incidents, risks and system issues appropriately
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and improvements to ward administrative processes
Supporting Mental Health Act administration
The Ward Clerk will also provide administrative support for patients subject to the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992.
This includes maintaining accurate filing, tracking and distribution of Mental Health Act documentation and supporting administrative processes relating to legal status, leave, transfers and hearings.
You will work closely with the clinical team and relevant services to ensure documentation is complete and requirements are followed, escalating any missing, incomplete or overdue information to the appropriate clinical staff.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 3/Profile 3

What you'll bring

Ward BG (Older Person Mental Health), is a 20-bed assessment, treatment and rehabilitation ward with an organic psychiatric focus. The team provides comprehensive assessment of the mental and physical health of older people, whilst aiming to optimise the patient’s level of functioning, offering specialist treatment, care, support and education.
An opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse to join the team at the Burwood Hospital. A rewarding role, working with consumers experiencing progressive dementia, acute delirium, as well as depression, anxiety, paranoia and general behavioural problems associated with altered cognition.

About the Role
The Moana clinic provides health services to the Moana and on occasion Haupiri communities, which amounts to less than 100 permanent residents. However, Moana is a popular holiday destination, and the town is often busy with visiting tourists. The geographical distance that the Moana Rural Nurse Specialist (RNS) covers is the largest of all the RNS teams on the West Coast, covering to Arthurs Pass and Still Water. Working as an RNS at the Moana Clinic, you will be the first ‘port of call’ in many cases for both the residents and tourists travelling through the area. You will provide clinic-based services during the day – mainly primary care, district nursing and ‘on-call’ services as per a roster.
The service provides a nurse-led clinic, with General Practitioner and Nurse Practitioner support. You will have patients across the life span and will be actively developing skills as new situations arise. This is a position for a senior RN who has a minimum of 5 years clinical experience, preferably with community and practice nursing and who has a good sense of autonomy and self-direction. Post graduate study is essential especially around adult and paediatric health assessment, and pharmacology. You will be supported to complete further post graduate study if required.
As an RNS you will use your assessment skills and experience to provide primary and emergency care, with the support from the wider team, a system of standing Orders, and PRIME training.
About You
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC
- 5+ Years or Registered Nurse experience
- Ability to work self-directed but be able to access networks for assistance when needed
- Interest in working at the top of your RN scope of practice & ability to work at an advanced level
- Passion for variety and the challenge that comes with this
- Passion for community and practice nursing
- PRIME & On Call duties will be required within this role

About the Role
We are seeking a fulltime Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM), to provide nursing leadership, advanced clinical care and nursing expertise covering a wide range of clinical specialities including Neurosurgical, Cardiothoracic, Paediatric, Spinal, Trauma and General ICU Nursing.
The majority of our patients are acute admissions which requires an adaptive management style in an ever-changing clinical environment.
The ACNM supports the ICU Nurse Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operational management in our department. Leading a team of nurses on a shift-by-shift basis you will be the liaison person between the Department and users of the service. In addition to this you will provide leadership to an assigned group of nurses and hospital aides providing them with professional guidance and support. You will have the opportunity to be involved with other clinical projects in the department and will hold a number of departmental portfolios.
By utilising your extensive intensive care knowledge, experience and clinical skills you will be able to initiate ongoing expert nursing care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills by developing therapeutic relationships with all staff. You will be able to provide effective clinical leadership, high quality evidenced based practice, direction and support to the nursing staff and families of the ICU.
