You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our café. - Preparing, presenting, and serving food and drinks to a high standard

This is a casual role, working on an 'as and when required basis'. The successful candidate will be available to work day shifts across the week and able to provide flexibility to meet service demands.
You’ll work closely with the Chef Manager, Café Supervisor, and wider village team to deliver a café experience that’s welcoming, consistent, and genuinely enjoyable.
You will bring a warm and positive approach to everything you do, along with:
- Previous hospitality or café experience
- Superb barista skills
- A warm, friendly personality with great customer service skills
- Excellent communication and the ability to multitask
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

About the Role
The Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit is a dynamic, patient-focused service providing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional endoscopy procedures. As the Team Coordinator for endoscope reprocessing, you will work 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30am-6:00pm.
In this role you will work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, leading and coordinating endoscope reprocessing resources to meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
This is a fast-paced clinical environment where flexibility,
strong clinical judgement, and excellent teamwork are essential.
About the Service
The Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit undertakes more than 14,000 diagnostic and interventional procedures annually and provides specialised gastrointestinal and respiratory services to the Canterbury population. The service also acts as a secondary and tertiary referral centre for the South Island.
The unit operates from a purpose-built facility at Christchurch Hospital, featuring eight procedure rooms, two recovery areas and two reprocessing areas, across two floors. The service also provides specialist endoscopy equipment to other areas of the hospital campus including Waipapa, Parkside Operating Theatres, Interventional Radiology, and ICU.
In addition to clinical excellence, the service has a strong research programme recognised internationally and an active undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programme.
About You
As a Team Coordinator in this service, you will bring strong
sterile sciences knowledge and experience and the ability to effectively
coordinate people and resources.
You will also have:
- Current NZSSA Registration, which maintained every 2 years
- At least 5 years’ experience working in a sterile sciences or endoscope reprocessing environment.
- Knowledge of AS/NZS 5369:2021 ‘Reprocessing of reusable medical devices and other devices in health and non-health related facilities’.
- Level 5 Sterilising Technology Course Certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

About the Role
Our team is a professional and highly skilled Social Work team, who display a positive attitude and enthusiasm for health social work. We enjoy the challenge of delivering patient centred care in a fluid and dynamic multidisciplinary environment. We respond to a diverse range of health and social needs, no two days are the same, as we provide a 24/7 service with six teams across the Christchurch Hospital Campus.
Based at Christchurch Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit supporting families from Kaikoura in the North to Timaru in the South, including the West Coast. Your will be with families who've had a premature baby, or a baby requiring additional medical attention at birth. This is an exciting role offering short- and long-term Social Work support for all families with babies in the Neonatal unit. While the role is primarily based with the Neonatal Intensive Care unit, you may be redeployed at times to meet service needs. This part-time role will be worked across 5-days, with some flexibility around hours of work. Participation in an on-call roster for weekends and public holidays is also required in this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Social work assessment, monitoring and support of patients
- Triaging workloads to meet patient needs and service demands
- Attending and participating in social work team and departmental activities, projects and staff meetings
- Participate in service development and quality assurance initiative/processes
- Supporting team needs with work prioritisation and delivery
- Work in partnership with our Maori Health team
- Working across our teams to support service demand
About You
This role focuses on the Neonatal ICU services. You will provide assessment, monitoring and support for families accessing this service. You will have a passion for working with babies and their whanau. About the Role
This is a permanent, part time opportunity to join our Community Speech Language Therapist team at 0.6FTE (24 hours per week), there may be the option to increase to 0.9FTE (36 hours per week) in the near future. Please indicate your preferred FTE in your cover letter.
Our Community Speech Language Therapists are part of interdisciplinary, community-based teams, while also benefiting from strong professional leadership and collegial support within the wider Speech Language Therapy service.
In this role, you will deliver skilled assessment, management, and rehabilitation for a wide range of swallowing and communication disorders in clients aged 16 and over. The service offers a variety of care approaches, including community and home visits, clinic-based appointments, and group programmes. You will also be involved in a Videofluoroscopy (VFSS) service based at Burwood Hospital, with scope to incorporate telehealth into your practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and therapy in line with professional standards, policies, and procedures
- Provide intervention for people with a diverse range of communication and swallowing disorders, including complex and degenerative conditions
- Educate and support patients, whānau, caregivers, and members of the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate and coordinate care with a wide range of community services and external agencies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and patient records
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement within the community teams and wider Speech Language Therapy service
This role offers the opportunity to work with a varied caseload and make a meaningful impact in community-based rehabilitation.
About You
You will be an experienced and adaptable clinician who is confident working both autonomously and as part of a team. You’ll bring strong organisational and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to delivering person-centred care.
Your skills and experience will include:
- Proven ability to complete thorough assessments and tailor interventions using strong clinical reasoning and a goal-focused approach
- Confidence using objective assessment tools
- VFSS competency level 3 (essential); FEES competency level 3 is desirable
- Experience in acute and/or rehabilitation settings is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams and build strong relationships with community providers
- Experience working with patients with significant comorbidities is an advantage
- Registration with the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA) & a Current APC is essential
- A full driver’s licence is essential
