We’re looking for a hardworking, caring Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our warm and welcoming Summerset on the Landing village team. This role is all about making sure our residents feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home.
As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant, you'll be a key part of creating a clean, uplifting, and homelike environment for residents, their whānau, and fellow team members.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Ensuring high-quality cleaning across resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry, and kitchen facilities
- Laundering, folding and returning residents’ clothing and linens with care and attention
- Labelling, mending and maintaining residents' personal laundry items
- Supporting infection control measures and health and safety procedures
- Building friendly, respectful relationships with residents and understanding their unique needs
This is a casual role, working on an 'as and when required' basis.

About the role
Christchurch Hospital is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to join our Plastic Surgery team on a fixed-term basis, providing sabbatical cover during 2027.
We are looking for a specialist who is available for either three months or six months, with the following periods available:
- 1 March 2027 – 31 May 2027
- 1 June 2027 – 31 August 2027

This is an opportunity to join an established Plastic Surgery service within a tertiary teaching hospital and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused specialist care across Canterbury.
About the service
The Plastic Surgery team provides specialist care to patients across the Canterbury region. As part of the team, you will work collaboratively with Plastic Surgery colleagues, medical and nursing staff, allied health professionals and other specialist services.
The role includes a combination of outpatient clinics, operating theatre activity, acute Plastic Surgery responsibilities and teaching. You will also contribute to clinical meetings, audit, continuing medical education and service-related activities.
About you
You will be a qualified and experienced Plastic Surgeon with:
- Specialist registration in Plastic Surgery, or eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- A current Annual Practising Certificate, where applicable.
- Postgraduate training in Plastic Surgery.
- Expertise across general Plastic Surgery.
- Post-Fellowship training and/or experience appropriate to working within a tertiary teaching centre, including an appropriate subspecialty interest.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- The ability to manage and prioritise a busy clinical workload.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, continuing professional development and quality improvement.
Experience in undergraduate teaching would also be desirable.
What you can expect
You will join a collegial and supportive Plastic Surgery team and have the opportunity to work within a large tertiary hospital environment in Christchurch.
The role provides exposure to a broad range of specialist Plastic Surgery work, with opportunities to contribute to teaching, clinical quality improvement and service development.
The position is up to 40 hours per week, with participation in the 1:8 on-call roster as required.

We have an exciting Fixed term opportunity for an Obstetrics & Gynaecology Medical Specialist to join our team at Christchurch Women’s Hospital.
Christchurch Women’s Hospital is located on the central Christchurch Hospital campus, alongside Hagley Park and within walking distance of the central city. It is a busy tertiary referral centre with approximately 6,000 births each year. Our comprehensive service includes Maternal Fetal Medicine alongside a large and varied gynaecology service. We are also the regional referral centre for Gynaecological Oncology for Te Waipounamu, the South Island.
Our Senior Medical Officer team is predominantly generalist, providing care across both Obstetrics and Gynaecology and working collaboratively with a broad multidisciplinary team.
As an Obstetrics & Gynaecology Medical Specialist, you will contribute across the breadth of the service, providing high-quality specialist care to women and whānau. The role includes inpatient and acute care, outpatient clinics and participation in the full SMO on-call roster.
Your clinical responsibilities may include:
- General and high-risk antenatal care;
- Acute obstetric and gynaecological services;
- Colposcopy and outpatient procedural gynaecology;
- Inpatient specialist care and clinical decision-making;
- Supervision, teaching and support of junior medical staff and trainees; and
- Contribution to clinical governance, quality improvement and the ongoing development of our service.
We particularly welcome applicants with a strong obstetric focus. There is scope to further develop areas of special interest within the service, including early pregnancy, preterm birth and high-risk obstetrics.
As part of our commitment to equitable, patient and whānau-centred care, there may also be opportunities to contribute to outreach services, supporting access to specialist care closer to home for communities across Waitaha.
Christchurch Women’s Hospital is an accredited training centre for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), with both training and non-training registrars. As a Senior Medical Officer, you will play an important role in teaching, supervision and supporting the development of our future specialist workforce.

This role will involve providing Social Work to inpatient, outpatient and community services to Ashburton and Rural Health Service. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality Social Work services which meets the needs of the inpatients, outpatients and community patients / clients of Mid Canterbury
- Providing evaluation, therapeutic and educational services to patients/clients of Ashburton
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team and liaising with health providers
In this role, you will be responsible for providing assessment and intervention for adults, children and families with illness and/or disability to support them to remain in their own environment for as long as possible.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Community Intensive Pathway team working alongside a dynamic, multidisciplinary group committed to providing high quality, recovery focused care in the community.
About the role
CIP provides brief and focused care for more acutely unwell consumers in their home while on leave or following discharge from hospital, or to prevent an admission to hospital. The service provides post discharge follow up and increased support to our NGO partners including respite and Te Ao Marama (a community-based peer lead, acute admission alternative service).
This role joins three existing positions meaning we can create a dynamic, supportive team delivering increased home-based follow-up in the community. CIP is currently managed by the Clinical Manager of Emergency Mental Health Service however provides clinical care to consumers under both adult inpatient and community teams.
About you
We are looking for a motivated and skilled mental health nurse who can bring clinical expertise, adaptability, and empathy to this role.
In this role you will:
- Be able to work independently, undertake home visits on your own if risk assessment determines it safe to do so.
- Work together in a collaborative manner within a small team, sharing the workload and decision making.
- Be flexible, confident, experienced and understand the value of intensive community-based support and enjoy working in partnership with consumers and their family-whanau.
- Have excellent communication skills to effectively work with a range of consumers, family-whānau, colleagues, health providers and other agencies
- Be self-motivated with drive, passion and initiative.
Essential Requirements
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Practising Certificate (APC).
- Hold a current full driver’s licence, valid for use in New Zealand.
- Experience working in adult mental health
- Duly Authorised Officer (DAO) or be prepared to train as a DAO and maintain your DAO status while in the role.
- Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
