Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Work with an experienced team to develop contemporary nursing curricula in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that supports clinically and culturally safe nursing practice.
Teach in a wide range of nursing courses, such as professional nursing, mental health, and evidence-based practice.
Collaborate in a vibrant research environment to advance nursing knowledge and practice and improve patient health outcomes.
The salary range for the position Senior Lecturer Range 1-2 (2026) is $107,916 - $152,711 (NZD) and the amount determined will take into account the candidate's qualifications and experience.
The employment setting will involve working with people across the lifespan and applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children's Workers) Regulations 2015.

Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate (APC).
A PhD or equivalent in nursing or a related field.
Clinical experience and cultural competence in nursing and education.

Demonstrated engagement within the nursing sector, with community and Iwi partners, and external stakeholders.
Ability to contribute to research projects and mentor junior staff.

As a Senior Professional Practice Fellow, you will help support teaching, facilitate learning, assist with assessments, and carry out clinical service/clinical activity both on undergraduate clinics and staff clinics out of term time.

The Position
The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health Acute Paediatric Unit, will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering person centred, recovery orientated and trauma informed care, in accordance with the National Standards for Mental Health Services, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies.

Provide a high level of clinical knowledge and skill to ensure clinical standards and policies and procedures are met to promote a consumer-focused model of care, according to best practice principles.
Assist the Nurse Unit Manager and the Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with the management and coordination of resources as required.

The Position
Skilled Medical is seeking an Intensive Care (ICU) Registrar to join the Intensive Care Unit at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital commencing on 2 March or 3 August 2026.
Health Service
This ICU is accredited as a C12 unit under the CICM training program, with endorsements for General, Rural, and Paediatric training. They actively support CICM candidates, helping them prepare for Part 1 and Part 2 exams, and have a history of trainees successfully completing their CICM research projects during their time in the department. Non-training registrars have also published research projects in peer-reviewed journals. All registrars have the chance to get involved in quality improvement and research initiatives, contributing to the ongoing advancement of our department.
The successful candidate would join a team of 12-14 Registrars and a diverse group of nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals. The ICU provides critical care for both adult and paediatric patients, managing complex cases and transporting patients within Hawkes Bay and to tertiary referral centres. You'll have opportunities to be involved in rotary wing and road transfers.

Hawkes Bay Hospital is a 400-bed secondary-level public hospital in Hastings, serving a population of over 180,000 people. About the role
As our Purchasing Officer, you will:
Purchase Orders and receipting
- Raise accurate purchase orders with the correct coding, pricing and product information.
- Consolidate orders where appropriate to improve efficiency and minimise transaction costs.
- Purchase against Te Whatu Ora catalogue numbers wherever possible.
- Use i-Procurement and FPIM systems for inventory and expense purchasing.

About you

What you'll need
Essential:
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2), or a willingness to undertake this qualification with our support, with opportunities to progress to Level 3 and potentially Level 4.
- A current full New Zealand driver's licence.
- Competence using Microsoft applications and similar computer systems.
- A commitment to providing safe, respectful and person-centred support.
It would be an advantage if you have:
- Previous experience as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Caregiver or similar role.
- Experience working in a community, hospital, aged residential care or other healthcare setting.
- Experience supporting people with complex or changing needs.
