As a Caregiver at our Summerset Waikanae Village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

  • Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
  • Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
  • Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
  • Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a full time role working 60 - 80 hours per fortnight, on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

  • 4+ years experience in aged care or a similar role
  • A Health and Wellbeing Level 3+ qualification or equivalent
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
  • Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
  • Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
